With the distinct advantage of being a recognized name, the Athens Hilton hotel is a good choice of hotel for travellers who are planning a few days in Athens city before continuing on the islands of Santorini and Mykonos. Located just outside the very centre of Athens city, it is still simple to get to the ancient site of Acropolis or the other main areas of Athens city by a short, five minutes or so, bus or taxi journey.

This central location does have its disadvantages though. The Athens Hilton hotel is on a very busy road junction which does make some rooms susceptible to traffic noise – a possible problem for those not used to big city noise. Providing this is not an issue, ensure that you book a room with a view of Acropolis and Parthenon, as this includes much of Athens city too.

Being a Hilton hotel, guests are assured of the rooms meeting a certain standard. The various standard Guest rooms, Suites and Deluxe and Executive rooms are all furnished in a modern and attractive way, but with a slight emphasis on the business guest.
